Sophie Villeneuve is proud to be invited to perform in duo with her musician Marc Tannahill through the famous Haines Junction Salmon Bake & Live Music series.
About the show: Inspired by her new Yukon world since she left Quebec, Sophie Villeneuve shares her life story with authenticity in her show Le Chant du Hibou. From dog sledding to skiing on avalanche terrain, to talking about her northern romances or living in a wall tent in the winter, she does not miss a chance to let her audience travel with her. Characterized by her direct lyrics, Sophie switches back and forth between guitar and piano to share her songs that are mainly in French with a few titles in English. Addressing her audience as if they were around a campfire, Sophie Villeneuve offers an authentic experience in a world North of the 60th parallel.
